AI Making Product Suggestions to Customers That Have Been Discontinued or Out of Stock

Love the AI and it’s doing a great job but I noticed twice in the last month it gave product suggestions to a customer for products that are “disabled” in our shopping cart (so either out of stock or discontinued)…wondering if I need to delete these products so their content is no longer available to the AI?

Hello ICN Janice,

We appreciate your feedback to the AI Assist Add-on.

We would like to know more details and clarifications regarding your concern.

  • How did you provide AI with the data for your products?
  • Do you have an API integration with your systems?
  • Are you using Shopify or WooCommerce?
  • Have you provided a product list using one of the options in data sources? Or have used to collect data information through AI Assist’s Web Crawler?
  • May I have your website URL or property ID?

Kindly provide these as much as possible for us to get a clear view on this.

Thank you.

Found it! In the Help Center is an article about how-to-fix-incorrect-responses-delivered-by-ai-assist…(sorry won’t let me paste the URL)

That answers the question about discontinued products for sure but can the AI recognize that a product is out of stock?

In order for us to provide you with appropriate information on that matter, we would need to know as to how you have given AI the data of your products. It would best if you can send us the details such as your property ID for our team to check it further as well.

Or if you prefer to discuss this over the phone, feel free to schedule and consult our AI Assist expert here: https://calendly.com/tawk-to-support/ai-assist
