Hello,
We love Tawk To and would like to utilize the Contacts feature. Unfortunately, Tawk To automatically creates a new contact for each user every time they log-in with a different IP address. The end result is after trying to tame and merge accounts we have over 10,000 contacts that have been created for approximately 1,000 users.
Our Users (Contacts) tend to access our site via mobile devices and remote office locations, so multiple IPs are very common.
This may not seem like a bug. But when you consider that a contact has been duplicated more than 10 times even though the name and email address are exactly the same for all 10 that surely can’t be the intent when this feature was put in place. In what scenario would two different people have the exact same email address and name? I can’t think of an example.
If a rule was added not to create a new record when there is already a record with a matching email and name - that would solve this program and make the contacts feature usable.
