How can I see which word visitor search in google and come to my website page?
Hi there @Ehsan ,
Thanks for your question! You’re right—tawk.to ’s Monitoring page shows you where visitors come from (like Google), but due to privacy restrictions and how search engines handle data (especially Google), search keywords are not usually shared with third-party platforms like tawk.to.
Why can’t I see the search terms?
Most search engines, including Google, encrypt search queries when users are logged in or using secure connections (HTTPS). This means the actual keywords used in the search typically aren’t passed along when a visitor reaches your site.
What you can do:
If you’re looking to track which keywords visitors use to find your site, we recommend:
- Google Search Console (Free)
- It shows:
- Exact search terms visitors used
- How your site is performing in search results
- Which pages are getting clicks
- Search Console setup
- Google Analytics
- While most keyword data is masked here as well, it can help you:
- Track referral sources (like Google or Bing)
- Analyze visitor behavior and landing pages
Looking Ahead
We’re actively reviewing our reporting and visitor tracking features this year and are looking at ways we can improve how we help businesses understand where their visitors are coming from.
We really appreciate your feedback—it helps guide those improvements!
Let us know if you’d like help getting started with Search Console or Google Analytics.

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately, the feature you’re asking about isn’t currently available on tawk.to. As previously mentioned, while you can view general referral sources—such as visitors coming from Google—specific search keywords are typically not shared with third-party platforms like ours.
This limitation is due to privacy policies and how most search engines manage user data.
If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to let us know.
Kind regards,
Thank you. I got it.
I have new question. Please see below image:

Sometimes Tawk doesn’t show which page the visitors is on on my website.
Is it bug? or did I not do the settings correctly?
