Option to remove 1 new message notification in tab when pre chat activated

We have enabled the pre chat feature which is incredibly helpful in getting information from prospects. We also have an auto trigger for new visitors. The problem is that it is impossible to make the “1 new message” tab notification (which comes and goes no stop) disappear without the person reading the message,

But to read it, they have to enter the pre chat questions, which makes no sense!

Could it be possible to either have the option to disable the 1 new message notification in the tab or mark the message as read when the visitor clicks on the tawk icon?

That’d be really great!

You can disable the browser tab notification in Admin > Channels > Chat Widget:

Hi - I’m experiencing the same issue here, despite having this option checked. My chat is in a popup window and everytime it is closed I am left with the flashing title. Is there any way to override the setInterval being used to create this behaviour?

Hi @KLloyd, if this option is enabled, there won’t be any browser notification or flashing for this widget. Do you have multiple widgets by any chance?

Just the single widget. I have managed to override the settings for the message which prevents the flashing appearing at all which is preferable to being left with it when the popup is closed.
