Please explain why admin shows as a property on mobile app

Hey there,
I understand that properties are for the widgets to be assigned to websites etc. However, on the mobile app, as an admin, I see that when I am in inbox, and I select the main property in the top left of the screen I am taken to a new option screen to select Property. Then listed is our actual property and then my admin name? See attached. I am confused by this and don’t get it. I can’t seem to see any explanation for this either anywhere.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

When you first create and log in to your tawk.to account, you may notice two properties listed. One is the property you created—most likely for your website. The other is automatically generated and is named after the profile name you used when setting up your account.

This second property is your Profile Page, which is part of your free tawk.to account. Please note that it is not possible to delete this profile property.

Hi Jethro, thanks for your reply. I just find it a bit confusing. So, if I choose to use my Rejane Property, I’ll then be answering any chats as myself and not OYOO Style? Is this the same principal with other agents?

Not exactly. When you select Rejane, which refers to your profile, you’ll see messages sent from your profile page—if it’s set up—or tickets you’ve created using your profile.

On the other hand, selecting OYOO Style, which is your website (or property), will display all messages sent via the chat widget installed on your website. You’ll also have access to the property’s settings, which you can adjust if you have the necessary permissions.

Essentially, this feature allows you to view and manage settings and messages across multiple properties, depending on which one is selected.
