Does anyone know how I prevent the chat widget from automatically opening without user has clicked it?
It keeps popping up with the message “Welcome to our site, if you need help simply reply to this message, we are online and ready to help.”. I would also like to change that message but can’t figure out where.
But mostly, I would prefer if it does not pop up unless the user actually clicks the chat widget.
It seems that it depends on the web browser. For me, this setting works fine only in Brave while Chrome, Edge, Opera and Firefox still open the chat by default even if it’s disabled as per @Ralph 's screenshots.
Can you do anything about that? Such behavior does not make me find it as trustworthy solution…
If there is a welcome trigger enabled, the widget will pop-up either by showing a floating message preview or by maximizing itself (if message preview is disabled).
If you do not want the widget to draw attention to itself you can disable the Welcome Message trigger.
