I see from the documentation that " If you wish to mark a ticket as a Spam or Delete a ticket, click the More Options (three vertical dots) button in the upper-right corner area of the ticket header.
Then, select Mark as spam or Delete." and " All chats and tickets that have been marked as spam will appear in the Spam tab."
But what then? Does marking something as spam cause some other downstream actions within tawk.to? Should I be clearing the spam folder from time to time? What is the difference between reporting something as spam versus just deleting it?
Hi @dedicatedpresentatio ,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Once a ticket is marked as spam, it is moved to the Spam folder. This folder is intended for emails or tickets that are identified as spam, helping keep them separate from legitimate tickets and better organized from items in the Trash folder.
Unlike deleting a ticket, marking it as spam categorizes it as unwanted rather than simply removing it. You can review the Spam folder at any time and permanently delete its contents if they are no longer needed. Keeping the Spam folder organized is optional, but periodically clearing it may help if you no longer need to retain those tickets.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. We’re happy to help!
Does it add any additional filtering of some kind to the flow of communications into the inbox?
No, marking a ticket as spam does not apply any additional filtering or change how future communications are handled. It simply moves the selected ticket to the Spam folder, allowing you to organize unwanted or irrelevant tickets separately from those in your inbox.
