I have successfully integrated WhatsApp with Tawk. I mainly use the Windows Desktop App because it is much easier than staying logged into the web browser all day.
Bug Report
1. Windows Desktop App – WhatsApp messages not sending
On the Windows App I can receive WhatsApp messages, but I cannot send replies. I reported this to the Tawk team about three weeks ago. At the time I was advised to log in through the web browser instead, which works.
However, I am surprised that after three weeks the issue with the Windows Desktop App has still not been fixed.
2. No WhatsApp notification
When someone sends a message through WhatsApp, there is no notification or sound alert like the one used for WebChat. Because of this, I have no way of knowing that a message has arrived unless I keep checking the browser manually.
Please add a proper notification system so messages can be answered quickly. At the moment I am not using WhatsApp through Tawk because I am worried about missing messages and not responding to clients in time. Constantly checking the browser every few minutes is not practical.
If any other Tawkers have found a workaround, please let me know. I would also appreciate an update from the Tawk team.
