We are now turning out livechat off on Sat and Sun, but it woul dbe useful if those who monitor it on phones, can still get the ‘ping’ to say someone is on the site. It’s always good to see what page are being hit, and when. The chat does that. But if we turn it off, it won’t do it. So it would be good if it can be turned off, but the “option” to keep the “ping” available.
Hi 79design,
Thank you for reaching out! We understand your request to turn off the live chat feature on weekends, while still being able to receive notifications when someone visits the site. Fortunately, there is a solution that allows you to achieve this.
By hiding the chat widget on mobile and desktop, the live chat feature will still track visitors’ activities without them seeing the chat widget. To do this, you can access the Admin Panel and navigate to the Chat Widget section. From there, you will find the option to hide the widget on mobile and desktop devices.
Although there is currently no built-in scheduling feature to automatically hide the widget, you can manually toggle the hide setting at the start of the weekend. By doing so, your visitors will continue to be tracked in the monitoring system, but they won’t be able to initiate a chat during that time.
This approach will allow you to keep track of the pages being hit and monitor visitor activity while providing the option to turn off the chat functionality. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to ask.
