Bi-directional voice interaction with Apollo

Hi,

Please consider enabling bi-directional voice interaction with Apollo to enable users to speak directly to the AI Assistant and receive verbal responses, in addition to the existing text-based interface.

Suggested Functionality:
Speech-to-Text (STT): Convert the user’s spoken input into text in real time.
Natural Language Processing (NLP): Process the transcribed input as is currently the case.
Text-to-Speech (TTS): Convert Apollo’s text-based response into speech.
Transcript Logging: Maintain the current text log of both the user’s input and Apollo’s responses.

The above suggestion would create a more natural, hands-free, and accessible user experience, especially beneficial for users that are interacting with Apollo while managing other tasks, users on mobile devices who prefer voice over typing.

Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing this suggestion. I will forward it to our team for review.

While I can’t guarantee if this will be added, please note that we currently have an add-on for video, voice, and screen share that may help with similar use cases. However, we appreciate your input on enabling direct voice interaction within Apollo to enhance hands-free accessibility, and we’ll consider it as we continue improving the platform.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.
