Feature Request: Channel Selection on Widget Home

Feature Request: Channel Selection on Widget Home (WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, Email, etc.)

Hi team,
I’d like to request an expansion of the widget home screen to support direct contact-channel options — not just live chat, knowledge base, images, and links.
Currently, the widget home lets you configure entries like live chat, knowledge base articles, images, and generic links. I’d like to be able to add entries that open external contact channels directly, such as:
WhatsApp (deep-linking to a specific number with a prefilled message)
Messenger (deep-linking to a bot/handle)
Email (mailto: link)
Phone call (tel: link)
I know these can technically be added today as a generic “link” card, but having them as dedicated, recognizable entry types (with their proper icons, like WhatsApp’s green icon or Messenger icon) would make the home screen feel more polished and help visitors instantly recognize their preferred channel — similar to how many other live chat widgets present multi-channel entry points on their home screen.
Why this would help:
Visitors who prefer WhatsApp or email over live chat can self-select the channel immediately from the home screen.
Reduces friction/abandonment from visitors who wanted a different channel than chat.
Cleaner, more professional presentation than manually faking these with generic link cards and uploaded icons.
Suggested implementation:
New home screen entry types: “WhatsApp,” “Messenger,” “Email,” “Phone,” each with built-in icon and a simple field for the number/handle/address.
Keep existing entry types (chat, knowledge base, image, link) as-is.
Would love to hear if this is already possible in a way I’m missing, or if it’s something the team would consider adding. Thanks!
