Feature Request: Full Translation Support for Chat Interface Strings

Thank you for your great service — we’ve been using Tawk.to and really appreciate its functionality and ease of integration.

We would like to request a feature improvement regarding language localization. Currently, even after setting up a custom language or translation, some interface strings remain in English and are not available for translation. This affects the user experience for non-English-speaking audiences.

Specifically, the following elements do not appear to be translatable:

  • Messages (in the chat window header)
  • Start a new chat
  • Recent
  • No recent conversations

We believe it would be very helpful to allow full translation of all visible text strings in the chat widget, including these interface elements. Ideally, these strings could be included in the admin panel under the language customization section.

Would it be possible to add support for these missing strings in a future update?

Thank you in advance for considering this request. We’re looking forward to seeing Tawk.to become even more friendly for international users!

Hi,

Thank you so much for your kind words and for being a valued user of tawk.to — we truly appreciate your support!

We’re also grateful for your detailed feedback regarding language localization. You’re absolutely right — a fully translatable interface is essential for creating a seamless experience for all users, regardless of language.

The good news is that this request is already on the radar of our developers, and we understand how important it is to support the translation of all visible text strings, including those you mentioned:

  • Messages (in the chat window header)
  • Start a new chat
  • Recent
  • No recent conversations

While we don’t have an exact timeline yet, we’ll be sure to notify you as soon as this feature becomes available.

Thanks again for helping us improve tawk.to — we’re excited to keep making it better for our global community!
