I’d like to request a new feature for visitor session tracking. Currently, the system only saves visitor sessions when there’s engagement in conversation.
Requested Feature:
- Save ALL visitor sessions, including:
- Sessions with no response to auto-welcome messages
- Complete page navigation history for all visitors
- Sessions without any chat engagement
- User agent and IP information for every visitor
Business Value:
- Enhanced Security: Recently, we detected and prevented a data exploration attempt by a competitor because we noticed suspicious browsing patterns (hours of continuous browsing through multiple pages). Having this data permanently saved helped us identify the source from Milan and take appropriate action.
- Live monitoring is great, but having this information saved permanently would be invaluable for:
- Security monitoring
- Detecting unusual browsing patterns
- Identifying potential security threats
- Maintaining records of suspicious activity
- Additional Benefits:
- Better understanding of visitor behavior
- Complete visitor journey tracking
- Improved analytics for site navigation patterns
- Ability to see effectiveness of auto-welcome messages
- Historical record of ALL visitors, not just chat participants
This feature would serve both as a security tool and a business intelligence asset. The ability to review historical visitor data, including user agents and IPs, has already proven valuable in our case for protecting our website from competitive intelligence gathering.
Would other community members find this feature useful? Please upvote or share your thoughts if you’d also benefit from this enhancement.
Thanks for considering this feature request.
