Hello!
We just want Tawk.to to be on the site and not dominate for attention. When you open the page, it auto opens and gives a 1 in red as if something is unread. This then takes attention away from the purpose of the site and starts bothering people.
We really want to get rid of alerts, especially if a chat has never been entered. And definitely do not want to auto-open a chat.
Does think makes sense? Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out.
The widget auto pop-up because of the welcome message trigger. If you want the widget to just sit in the bottom and will only open when the customer clicks on it, then you may need to disable the welcome trigger for your chat.
To do this, you can go to Administration > Settings > Triggers > Welcome Message. There should be a toggle to disable the trigger on the top right corner.
