User Roles and Article Access Control in Knowledge Base

Dear Tawk.to Team,

We currently use Intercom for our platform and are exploring the possibility of transitioning to Tawk.to. Our platform has over 150 logged in users (who belongs to different business units) who access a variety of articles within our knowledge base. For example 30 logged in users within one of our business unit has access to only certain articles.

We would like to request the following feature enhancement:

  1. User Role Management: The ability to assign roles/business units to users
  2. Article/Collection Access Control: The ability to set access permissions for articles or collections within the knowledge base based on the user’s assigned role. For example, non-logged-in users would have access to public articles, while logged-in users or specific roles would have access to restricted content relevant to their roles.

This functionality would greatly improve our ability to deliver tailored articles to our users based on their role and ensure that the right information is accessible only to the relevant user group.

We believe this feature would benefit other businesses that rely on specific knowledge base articles for different user categories, and it would enhance the overall functionality of Tawk.to.

Thank you for considering this request!

Do not doubt it dear friend. Tawk.to is incomparable.

Intercom is one of the best systems, if not the best. Unfortunately, it costs an arm and a leg.
